“Since more than 30 years, I have been a professional piccoloist in orchestra, and I still think, this is my favourite profession! I love being the icing on top of the symphonic cake, or the witch in the opera, or the lightning in the symphonic storm! Sometimes – when I am not playing – I watch my colleagues or the audience and just feel blessed to be a part of a big musical community.
Looking back to lots of encounters with pupils, students, soloists, conductors, composers and innumerable musicians, I dare say that everyone had a particular message and left me with a new lesson learned.
In this academy, I want to share my experiences as an orchestra player, a teacher, a mother and a therapist with you all, who might look for ideas and advice!“
