This video is an excerpt from the course “Staccato on the piccolo” by Gudrun Hinze, piccoloist of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.
In this course, Gudrun teaches how to acquire the best control over the articulation with the piccolo, in a in-depth study that starts from the most theoretical bases up to the most practical exercises.
You will learn the technique of staccato-playing through the inner knowledge of body and soul, using stored experiences and emotions, how to produce a fine classical staccato on the piccolo using a technical approach, and you will practice with Gudrun’s exercises.
